Asia Pacific Medical Technology Development Company Limited (APMTD) was founded with the mission to address the unmet health care needs of patients suffering from cardiovascular diseases.
The company was founded in Hong Kong in 2011 and has acquired product license to three cutting edge medical devices from the United States. The acquired product license allows APMTD exclusive rights to distribute and manufacture these devices and use their intellectual properties in various countries in the Asia Pacific Region. Our product lines address unmet medical needs in the field of interventional cardiology, radiology, neuroradiology, oncology and vascular surgery. Our market includes countries in the Asia Pacific region including China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, The Philippines, Australia, South Korea, and New Zealand.

Chairman and CEO
Henry Lin, Ph.D.
Dr. Henry Lin is a co-founder of APMTD and is Chairman of the APMTD Board of Directors. Dr. Lin is an entrepreneur with a passion in cutting-edge medical technology. He is a Harvard-trained immunologist, and completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Lin obtained his A.L.M. in Management from Harvard University with a distinguished academic achievement award. He has a diverse academic background including a M.S. in Biotechnology and a Ph.D. in Medicine from the University of Queensland in Australia.
Executive Director
John Gilbert, Ph.D.
Dr. John Gilbert is a co-founder of APMTD and is Deputy Chairman of the APMTD Board of Directors. He has extensive experience as both a founding CEO and CTO, and is an inventor on 41 issued U.S. patents. Dr. Gilbert specializes in start-up operations, technology assessment, regulation, IP creation, and business model development in the medical technology industry. He earned his A.B. and M.A. from Harvard University, and received his Ph.D. in physics from California Institute of Technology. He was a postdoctoral fellow and Research Associate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1992-1996.

Alex Lu
Mr. Lu is an entrepreneur with extensive start-up experiences with Silicon Valley VCs. He has previously been involved in IT, semiconductor, software, and internet content and services companies. He has a successful track record in building start-up companies, and is experienced in cross-pacific operations and new business. Alex has a deep passion about health care and medical technology. He has been an active investor in several medical start-up companies, including APMTD. Alex is currently a member of the Board of Directors of APMTD.

Daniel Lai
Mr. Daniel Lai is a highly experienced professional with more than 13 years of extensive experience in product management, marketing, sales and business development in the medical device industry. In the past, he brought significant contributions to companies such as Macromed Biomedical Ltd. Co., Life Star Hospital Management Consulting Corp., Medishine Medical Ltd. Co., Johnson & Johnson Medical Taiwan Co. and A-Strong Medical Ltd. Co..Daniel has consistently exceeded sales targets in his career, delivering as high as 90% revenue growth. Daniel Lai is both a shareholder and sales and marketing advisor of APMTD.
Clinical Affairs
Sharon Tseng
Ms. Tseng is the Vice President of Clinical Affairs of APMTD. She has 13 years of progressive experience in the Pharmaceutical industry. Roles including clinical pharmacist, project management and proposal management in Pharmaceutical contract research organization. Ms. Tseng has extensively been involved in Pharmaceutical CRO of her previous Project leader and Proposal manager role, focused on full service global clinical trial. She is a leader with great passion, guiding her team towards achievement and sustaining a High Performance in clinical outcome. Her involved projects cover full range of therapeutic area through Phase I-IV. Ms Tseng has achieved her academic background of BSc. in Pharmacy and M.A. in Marketing from University of Queensland in Australia.

Dr. Eric Dippel
Dr. Eric J. Dippel is a private practice-based cardiovascular and peripheral vascular interventionist with Cardiovascular Medicine, P.C., Davenport, Iowa, USA. and also is the President of Midwest Cardiovascular Research Foundation. Dr. Dippel received his undergraduate degree with departmental honors in biomedical engineering from Northwestern University. He completed his medical school and Internal Medicine residency at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. Dr. Dippel is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Medicine, and Interventional Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and member of the American Heart Association Council of Clinical Cardiology, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Richard Kovach
Dr. Richard Kovach is the Chair of Interventional Cardiology and the Director of Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at the Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Browns Mill, New Jersey, USA. He has a special interest in peripheral vascular intervention, and is an expert in all forms of peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures. Dr. Kovach is very active in clinical research and is currently involved in 30 studies at Deborah Heart and Lung Center. Dr. Kovach is an internationally renowned expert in his field. He is an nvited faculty member at multiple national and international meetings, including NCVH, C3, AMP, LINC, CIT, VIVA, and iCON.

Ronald Solar, Ph.D.
Dr. Ronald Solar is the President and current CEO of ThermopeutiX, Inc, and the co-inventor of ThermopeutiX technology. He has 30+ years of experience in designing catheter systems. Dr. Solar was a co-founder of 4 successful interventional companies including X Technologies (acquired by Guidant), Versaflex (acquired by Medtronic), Occam (acquired by Cordis), and Y Med (acquired by BARD) , and he played key roles in product design, development and market introduction for Arco Medical, Edwards/Baxter, Advanced Cardiovascular Systems (Guidant/Abbott), SciMed (Boston Scientific), and Medtronic.
Glen Lieber
Mr. Glen Lieber is the current COO and VP of R&D of ThermopeutiX, Inc., and co-inventor of the ThermopeutiX technology. He has 30 years of experience in leading medical device development and production for Edwards/Baxter, Medtronic, X Technologies and Y Med. Mr. Lieber has extensive experience building and qualifying FDA registered and ISO 13485 certified manufacturing organizations. He is currently responsible for the design, qualification, and production operations of all the ThermopeutiX product lines.
